Position: Construction Machinery Maintenance Technician
Project Type: Residential High-Rise Condominium
Location: Penang Island
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of construction machinery and equipment on-site.
- Inspect and troubleshoot machinery including cranes, hoists, pumps, generators, and other heavy construction equipment.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently to support construction activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and equipment reports.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors regarding machinery needs and breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of machinery.
- Assist in procurement of spare parts and recommend machinery upgrades or replacements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operators on proper machinery usage.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical / Automotive / Heavy Equipment Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance of construction machinery, preferably in high-rise building projects.
- Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of construction equipment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction machinery.
- Knowledge of worksite safety practices and DOSH regulations.
- Able to read technical manuals and maintain detailed service records.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Willing to be based full-time on-site in Penang Island.
Added Advantage
- Experience working on residential high-rise or commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with cranes, tower hoists, and heavy lifting equipment
- CIDB Green Card or equivalent certification
