Position Summary

The Construction Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all logistics activities on the construction site to ensure efficient operations, safety compliance, and timely delivery of materials and equipment. This role oversees traffic management, site security, delivery scheduling, and the management of temporary site facilities, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal disruption to construction progress.

  • Proven experience in construction logistics or site management.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic management, security protocols, and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Traffic Management

  • Develop and implement a site traffic management plan in compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements to minimize congestion and ensure safe access for deliveries, workers, and emergency services.
  • Monitor and enforce speed limits, designated routes, and parking zones within the site.
  • Liaise with local authorities for road closures, permits, and traffic diversions when necessary.

Site Security

  • Establish and maintain site security protocols, including perimeter fencing, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • Manage security personnel and ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Control site entry and exit points, including verification of personnel and vehicle credentials.
  • Respond to security incidents and maintain incident logs for reporting and investigation.

Delivery Coordination

  • Schedule and manage deliveries of materials, equipment, and supplies to avoid delays and site congestion.
  • Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to confirm delivery times and requirements.
  • Ensure proper unloading, storage, and distribution of materials in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory levels.

Site Temporary Facilities Management

  • Plan and oversee the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary facilities such as site offices, welfare units, storage areas, and utilities.
  • Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with service providers for water, power, sanitation, and waste management.
  • Monitor facility conditions and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
