Job summary

A leading chemical firm in Malaysia is seeking a Production Support Specialist to ensure that all materials supplied to production maintain high quality standards. You will be responsible for setting up daily activities, reviewing mix schedules, preparing SOPs, and monitoring stock levels of chemical materials. The ideal candidate should have at least a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and 2 years of related experience. Proficiency in MS Office is required, along with good communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in chemical mixing/laboratory.
  • Good math and measurement skills for consistency in mix ratios.
  • Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records.

Responsibilities

  • Set up daily activities including staging of batches and equipment cleaning.
  • Review mix schedules and manually mix raw materials.
  • Prepare and develop workplace standard operating procedures for training.
  • Monitor stock levels and usage of chemical materials.

Job description
Summary

Ensure all materials supplied to production are in good conditions without compromising quality and safe workplace.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for set-up of daily activities including staging of batches, equipment cleaning/sanitization and set-up, and documenting in batch records and logbooks.
  • Review daily mix schedules and ensures the raw materials to mixes manually, using pumps or mixing systems.
  • To prepare and develop workplace SOP for process training and mentoring.
  • Report any out-of-spec raw material, premixes or mixed batches and consults with Compounding Supervisor / Superintendent on any batch adjustment.
  • To monitor stock level and usage of all chemical materials.
  • Properly and maintain good 5S at workplace and tools required.
  • Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials and finished goods.
  • Good math and measurement skills to ensure that ratios of mix materials are consistent.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Superior.
Qualifications
  • Education level: At least Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
  • Year(s) of Experience: Preferable 2 years’ experience in chemical mixing/laboratory section.
  • Capability: Proficient in MS Office and handling of machine or equipment.
  • Skill(s): Good communication, time management, organize, and flexible to adapt changing requirement.
  • Language: English, Malay (Japanese will be added advantage)
