Job description
Primary Purpose of Position

The Compliance Specialist serves as administrative staff for the college’s processes related to students’ experiential learning, which include developing and maintaining affiliation agreements with external partner organizations, interpreting and applying site‑specific student compliance requirements, coordinating student compliance verification processes, and managing databases for tracking and reporting of student placements. The Compliance Specialist provides consultation and technical assistance to a wide range of internal and external clientele; counsels academic program leaders on compliance requirements and processes, and provides indirect supervision of administrative staff who assist in implementation of compliance processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain affiliation agreements with external partner organizations.
  • Interpret and apply site‑specific student compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate student compliance verification processes.
  • Manage databases for tracking and reporting of student placements.
  • Provide consultation and technical assistance to internal and external clientele.
  • Counsel academic program leaders on compliance requirements and processes.
  • Provide indirect supervision of administrative staff who assist in implementation of compliance processes.
  • Other duties as determined by supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Office programs, Gmail and calendar applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with a variety of consumers (faculty, staff, students, external agencies, visitors, and families).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and propose solutions.
