Job description

This position supports the Malaysia Compliance COE function, a global support role assisting the GWAM Compliance Center of Expertise (CoE) in providing compliance support for GWAM Chief Compliance Officers across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with GWAM CoE Leads to implement compliance procedures and policies aligned with global standards and regulatory requirements for GWAM and Manulife Investment Management.
  • Assist in preparing reports for local and international regulatory authorities, trustees, industry associations, and institutional clients.
  • Support the Head of Compliance (Malaysia COE) in improving compliance policies and enhancing process efficiency.
  • Perform compliance monitoring and testing as assigned.
  • Participate in compliance-related projects, including transitioning new workloads into the CoE compliance teams.
  • Handle queries from CoE team members and share best practices to strengthen the team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in finance, accounting, business, law, or related fields; professional qualifications are a plus.
  • Experience in fund or asset management compliance, audit, or financial regulation is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of investment industry regulations, securities laws, international financial markets, and marketing guidelines.
  • Strong English communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • High initiative, commitment to deadlines, and excellent organizational skills.
