Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to deliver basic nursing care in alignment with hospital policies, attending to patients in a busy ward environment. The role requires effective communication with patients and families, assisting nurses, and maintaining a clean, organized ward and proper stock levels.

BLS certification and bilingual English/Bahasa Malaysia abilities are preferred, with flexibility for shifts and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Education: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia; priority for certified healthcare assistants.
• Knowledge/Experience: Hospital experience an advantage.
• Skills/Competencies: Must have CPR/BLS, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Personal attributes: Interpersonal, caring and responsible; willing to work shifts and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care aligned with hospital vision and goals.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds and communicate with patients and families.
• Assist nurses in transporting patients to theatres and tests.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, stock levels, and equipment; document charges and charting.
• Support infection control practices and safety policies; participate in meetings.
