Overview
A day in a life at a startup with Teleport involves varied tasks and frequent multitasking. Roles may support other priorities as needed, with the bulk of time spent on strategic communications and cross-functional collaboration to grow the company’s presence and alignment with quarterly/yearly business goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategize, develop and execute cohesive strategic integrated communications initiatives/campaigns to grow the company’s presence and positioning across the industry and key stakeholders, including issues/crisis monitoring and management.
- Identify, develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans, including key media and selected government agencies.
- Collaborate and support cross-functionally within the marketing team and with other departments (commercial, operations, finance and CEO Office in Teleport; other Lines of Businesses under Capital A Berhad) as needed.

Minimum requirements
- Ability to communicate simply and meaningfully: speak clearly and write well across various formats and applications.
- Data-driven storyteller: understand Teleport’s story, conduct research, analyze content and reports, and articulate market, industry and financial data to produce quality written and presentation work (talking points, articles, op-eds, press releases, slides, etc.).
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt quickly to changes, multitask, and stay composed under pressure.
- Self-starter, independent with minimal supervision, yet highly communicative and a team player.
- Resourceful, with strong critical and analytical thinking.
- Highly proficient in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Experience in government and industry relations.
- Experience in executing communications work for a B2B company.
- Degree in Business, Law, Economics, Marketing, Communication or equivalent preferred.
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge and experience in cargo, e-commerce delivery business and technology.
- Background in a corporate strategy team with the ability to connect strategy with marketing and strategic communications.
