Reporting to the Commodity Management Director, this role leads Build-to-Print (BTP) commodities for the Advanced Technology and Cloud Solution segments. Responsibilities focus on supplier quality, supplier qualification, localization, and strategic source control while driving key company objectives and values.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee global commodity engineering for BTP parts (plastics, metals, complex machining, liquid cooling, power supplies, PCBs, cables, hardware, fluidics, and automation).
Lead and develop the commodity engineering team.
Conduct supplier qualifications and quality system audits (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001, etc.).
Drive supplier performance, continuous improvement, cost reductions, RFQs, and localization/FAI part qualifications.
Analyze supplier statistical quality data (DPPM, DMAIC) to drive improvements.
Resolve internal and external quality issues promptly.
Lead project management to meet timeline and cost targets.
Support company KPIs and department priorities.
Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to interface effectively with global sites and international suppliers.
Subject matter expert in complex mechanical BTP products and Hyperscaler platforms.
In-depth knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, IPC, GD&T); PPAP and AS9102 FAIR experience a plus.
Proven track record in supplier quality improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.
Strong business acumen with expertise in Total Quality Management, strategic sourcing, and cost reduction.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Science, or Business preferred.
10+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or supply chain management (or equivalent combination).
