Job summary

DayOne invites experienced leaders to join our expansion across international markets, focusing on testing and commissioning of high‑performance data centre infrastructure. You will guide a team of engineers, develop robust testing strategies, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and safety standards.

You will collaborate with regional leadership and clients to deliver excellence across HVAC, power, and network systems, while traveling within Southeast Asia as required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in data centre testing, commissioning, and operations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating across regional teams in Southeast Asia.
• Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP).
• Familiarity with data centre infrastructure (HVAC, power systems, network operations).
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testing and commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team to ensure successful project completion.
• Develop and implement testing and commissioning strategies tailored to projects.
• Coordinate with the SE Asia Testing & Commissioning Director to align regional strategies with local execution.
• Oversee the testing and commissioning process for all data centre projects in country.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Develop and enforce rigorous testing and commissioning protocols for operations.
• Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Serve as primary client contact during testing and commissioning and resolve complex technical issues.

Team Leadership

Documentation And Reporting

• Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation.

Client Collaboration

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the testing and commissioning phase.
• Resolve any complex technical issues that arise, ensuring client satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data centre testing, commissioning, and operations.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and complex projects effectively.
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, power systems, and network operations.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in the testing and commissioning process.
• Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP).
• Familiarity with the business environment and regulatory landscape in Southeast Asia.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.
