Are you experienced in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning Processes? AWS is looking for a dynamic Commissioning Engineer (CxE) to support the delivery of AWS Data Centers. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling fascinating and challenging problems building and supporting the operations of AWS owned data centres within the APJC region and globally. The AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery Commissioning team (DCCD Cx) understands, evaluates, defines and manages the expectations of construction and equipment quality in accordance to engineering designs to meet the customer requirements.
The responsibilities of the DCCD Cx Commissioning Engineer (CxE) include, but are not limited to, oversight and coordination of multi-discipline division of work related to pre-commissioning and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure construction and special projects.
You are responsible for managing and supporting commissioning vendors, contractors and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems including high, medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC, Chilled Water, BMS and EPMS systems. You will provide multi-discipline input into scheduling, designing, planning of project execution and innovation projects. In addition, you will be required to review all multi-discipline integrated systems testing and commissioning documents to ensure they are compliant with the basis of design, project specifications and standards.
It is the CxE responsibility to ensure that all commissioning procedures follow the appropriate safety practices, policies and procedures. They enthusiastically participates in all project and company safety programs. CxE must also audit commissioning activities continuously to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. The CxE proactively communicates with the DCCD Cx Regional Manager and the DCCD Cx team to ensure that the applicable test documents are created in accordance with all commissioning requirements. Following the AWS project reporting format, the CxE is responsible for weekly reporting of commissioning progress and metrics for assigned project. The CxE will work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously, under tight deadlines according to prescribed metrics.
This role includes domestic and international travel for up to 25% of the time (Typical travel is 10%). The CxE is required to work longer than eight hours in duration with potential for night and weekends works.
