Job summary

A global hospitality leader is seeking a Commis (Western) to prepare food for guests and team members at their venue in Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of cooking experience in a high-standard environment. This role requires knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining HACCP standards. Teamwork and a positive attitude towards supervisors are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as a Cook or 1 year as Commis in a 5-star hotel.
  • Possess a valid health certificate.
  • Knowledge in HACCP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food for guests and team members efficiently.
  • Support the Sous Chef in kitchen operations.
  • Maintain HACCP standards during food prep.

Skills

Good knowledge of Western or Chinese cuisine
Ability to work under pressure
Good command in English
Technical education in hospitality or culinary school

Education

Junior Middle School graduate or above
Minimum 2 years as a Cook
