Are you an energetic, talkative go-getter with a passion for sales and the beauty industry? KL Beauty Week Sdn Bhd, the force behind Malaysia's biggest beauty event—KL International Beauty Week—and publisher of The Highlighter MY, a leading online magazine for lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and travel, is looking for a dynamic Commercial Sales Manager to join our growing team!

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Commercial Sales Manager to lead booth, Sponsorship and media sales across KL International Beauty Week and The Highlighter MY. You’ll be the go‑to for beauty and lifestyle brands looking to activate through our platforms – whether it’s booking a booth at KLIBW, launching a product via a PR event, or rolling out a digital campaign with our editorial and social teams.

You’ll own the sales cycle end‑to‑end: outreach, pitch, close, and retain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Team.
  • Sell booth spaces and sponsorships for KL International Beauty Week, targeting beauty and lifestyle brands.
  • Pitch and close digital ad campaigns across The Highlighter MY, including branded content, display ads, social media, articles, and influencer collaborations.
  • Package and sell PR and sponsorship activations like product launches, pop‑ups, and event integrations.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with brand managers, agencies, and media buyers.
  • Create sharp, strategic proposals tailored to client goals across multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate closely with editorial, digital, and events teams to bring campaigns to life.
  • Track performance, optimise campaigns, and deliver post‑campaign reporting to clients.
  • Stay ahead of trends in beauty, lifestyle, content marketing, and consumer events.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of media, events, or brand partnership sales experience.
  • Proven ability to sell to beauty or lifestyle brands.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of advertising sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of both events and digital ad products (e.g. articles, media ad sales, activations, influencer marketing, social media, brand/product launch).
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed revenue targets and manage key client accounts.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google.
  • Confidence in pitching to senior stakeholders and closing deals.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a creative edge and a performance mindset.
Bonus if You Have
  • Experience selling booths or sponsorships at expos or B2C events.
  • Worked in publishing, digital media, beauty or agency settings.
