Commercial Manager

Are you ready to shape the future of energy commercialization and drive strategic growth? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead monetization strategies for upstream assets and emerging integrated energy opportunities within TotalEnergies' dynamic Malaysian operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commercialization strategies for newly acquired blocks, Discovered Resource Opportunities (DROs), and exploration wells.
  • Negotiate and structure complex commercial agreements, including Gas Sales Agreements, Shared Facilities Agreements, and other upstream arrangements.
  • Provide commercial analysis and market intelligence to support strategic decision‑making across traditional E&P and emerging energy transition initiatives.
  • Support integrated energy opportunities such as LNG infrastructure partnerships, gas‑to‑power projects, and carbon capture and storage frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations while maintaining HSSE excellence.
  • Collaborate with PETRONAS, joint‑venture partners, and internal stakeholders to maximize commercial value.
  • Contribute to organizational capability development through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
Candidate Profile
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Petroleum Engineering, Finance, or related fields (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas commercial roles, with at least 8 years in upstream, midstream, LNG, or downstream operations.
  • Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation, asset monetization strategies, and Malaysia's energy regulatory framework.
  • Proven track record in DRO development, exploration asset commercialization, and upstream project monetization.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with government entities, regulatory bodies, and joint‑venture partners.
  • Familiarity with PETRONAS regulatory processes and Malaysian petroleum fiscal regimes.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
