Project Overview

In upstream, Total E&P Malaysia is involved in exploration activities in Malaysia as operator of two blocks located offshore Peninsula Malaysia in 50 to 80 meters of water depth. Total E&P Malaysia will carry out exploration activities including seismic data acquisition, and the drilling of high-pressure/high-temperature (HT/HP) exploration wells, over the next 6 years.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Petroleum Engineering, Finance, or related fields (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas commercial roles, with at least 8 years in upstream, midstream, LNG, or downstream operations.
• Strong expertise in commercial contract negotiation, asset monetization strategies, and Malaysia’s energy regulatory framework.
• Proven track record in DRO development, exploration asset commercialization, and upstream project monetization.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with government entities, regulatory bodies, and joint venture partners.
• Familiarity with PETRONAS regulatory processes and Malaysian petroleum fiscal regimes.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
