Position Summary

We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to support a fact-based decision‑making process; assist the Finance and Control Manager in the Co‑Piloting role.

  • Lead the management and control of TTS to ensure alignment with financial plan, key performance indicators and strategies of the Business Unit and organization.
  • Centre of competence to drive compliance of TTS guidelines for Net Sales Reporting and support management in decision‑making through advisory, analysis and transparency of information.
  • Provide support for continuous process improvement and control through provision of an effective framework for good governance and risk management.
  • Support Trade Assets team with TARE reporting to improve operational efficiency and TARE optimization. Support also covers compliance through advisory.
  • Business partnering with Sales team for contract negotiation and business review.
A day in the life of a Commercial Analyst
Business planning & Budgetary
  • Assist to plan, organise and coordinate annual budget planning process and DF.
  • Responsible for timely consolidation of budget / forecast and review for reasonableness as well as alignment to business and customers’ needs / direction.
  • Quarterly reviews of past results and communication of to‑go number to CDS & CCSD
  • Key contact point for financial queries.
Corporate Reporting & Analysis
  • Support MBP through timely and accurate reporting of actual results and explanation on variances.
  • Maintain scorecard that monitors agreed strategic KPI’s (e.g. PTA accruals, utilisation %, recovery, CCS, T&C).
  • Perform analysis, tracking and course‑correction to ensure delivery of key business objectives (e.g. Contract management, T&C alignment and maintenance)
  • Responsible for the preparation of detailed tracking for PTE –Incentives and Space/Promo to close reporting gap due to system constraint.
F&C Support in Sales operation
  • Responsible for Finance & Commercial advisory support in relation to day‑to‑day operations & compliance to CSI/ guideline.
  • Work with key stakeholders in Sales Division to identify improvement opportunities arising from KPI performance (support in top‑to‑top meeting, business review and contract negotiation).
Compliance & Control
  • Continuous review of end‑to‑end process flow on ICD management to root out redundant / non‑value‑added task and eliminate potential audit risk.
  • Pro‑actively pre‑empt key stakeholders (CDM & RSM) of any identified key risks that may impact the successful execution of promotional activities.
  • Enforce consistency in the recognition of costs (PTA vs. PFME) and correct application of condition type through random checks.
  • Ensure the business is always readily auditable to minimise preparation work before any operation audit.
F&C Support in Trade Assets
  • Finance provide transparency through reporting to assist Trade assets team to monitor TARE spending to improve day‑to‑day operation.
  • To work with key stakeholders within Trade assets and Sales teams to identify audit risk area and to support their effort to with improvement compliance and strengthen control.
What will make you successful?
  • Graduate with min 5 years of prior experience in Finance function mainly supporting commercial function (e.g. Corporate Reporting & Decision Support, Factory or Supply Chain F&C, Commercial Controlling)
  • Professional Qualifications are an added advantage (ACCA/CIMA/ CPA…etc..)
  • Detailed oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Able to communicate and work well in a team.
  • Have a leadership mindset and able to multitask.
  • Strong sense of commercial understanding.
  • Forward looking mindset
  • Advanced excel, Power BI skills are added advantage.
