Responsibilities

• Program CNC turning machines using G-code, M-code, and advanced CAM software.
• Set up multi-axis CNC lathes with precise tooling alignment.
• Select optimal cutting tools and inserts for specific materials.
• Perform machine offsets and tool compensation for dimensional accuracy.
• Optimize cutting parameters for productivity and tool life.
• Execute both roughing and finishing operations with high precision.
• Conduct trial runs and first article inspections (FAI).
• Machine components to micrometre-level tolerances.
• Operate CNC turning centres for high-volume production runs.
• Perform live tooling operations, including milling and drilling on lathes.
• Manage bar feeder or chucking setups for automated production.
• Monitor machine performance during operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machining problems in real time.
• Modify programs at the machine control panel when needed.
• Maintain proper surface finish as per customer requirements.
• Conduct in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Use CMM, micrometres, callipers, and bore gauges for inspections.
• Control concentricity, cylindricity, and roundness tolerances.
