Job summary

A leading engineering company in Malaysia is looking for a CNC Machinist to interpret drawings and perform mechanical tasks on CNC machines. Candidates should either be fresh graduates or have over three years of experience in CNC machining. Responsibilities include measuring workpieces, selecting cutting tools, and maintaining a clean work area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to understand technical blueprints while making recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or 3 years and above experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to read and understand Blue Prints and GDT.
• Capable of calculating and adjusting tool speeds & feeds.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prints and drawings to meet machining requirements.
• Manufacture or select appropriate work holdings and fixtures.
• Measure in-process parts according to customer requirements.

Job description

Interpret drawing and perform mechanical task on a CNC machine including measure work piece, loading unloading vise /fixtures and select correct cutting tools and program provided in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

Fresh graduate / 3 years and above experience in CNC machining

Ability to read and understand Blue Prints and GDT.

Able to know the usage of caliper, mircometer, pin gauge or block gauge

Capable of calculating and adjusting tool speeds & feeds to match machining conditions

Knowledge of cutting tools. grades and application

Ability to make recommendations for process improvement

Ability to maintain clean and organized work area

Strong communication skills including the ability to receive and give oral and written instruction

Responsibilities:

Check prints and/or drawings.

Meet with engineering to review machining requirements and 3D machined components

To interpret parts drawing, geometric tolerancing and machine code

Manufacture or select appropriate work holdings and fixtures.

Perform mechanical tasks including loading and unloading vices, fixtures and parts.

Establish and set appropriate tool offsets.

Measure in-process parts to conform to blue print, customer requirements and tolerances.
