Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an SR ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN/ SUPERVISOR to operate CNC machines and oversee production tasks. The ideal candidate should have a technical background in Mold or Mechanical Engineering, and be willing to train in China. Strong skills in reading drawings and effective communication are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Technical school background, preferably in Mold Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Willingness to undergo training in China for 3-6 months.
  • Knowledge of mechanical processing and operational practice.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC, grinding, and milling machines safely.
  • Cooperate with supervisor to meet production tasks.
  • Conduct maintenance and use tools correctly.

Job description
SR ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN/ SUPERVISOR (MECHANICAL)

1. Operate CNC, grinding and milling machines strictly in accordance with safety requirements, operation work instructions and operating specifications to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of work.

2. Cooperate with the supervisor in accordance with the daily plan, complete production tasks on time with guaranteed quality and quantity, and be responsible for the quality and delivery date of workpieces.

3. Use equipment properly and reasonably, conduct maintenance on time, use consumables correctly and appropriately, and utilize tooling and measuring instruments in a rational and effective manner.

4. Arrange the processing technology for each workpiece, clearly mark the points needing attention on the drawing, and estimate the processing time.

5. Be familiar with the special processes of molds, assist in solving processing problems, improve work efficiency, save costs, and continuously optimize processes.

6. Review workpiece drawings, design and optimize CNC programs.

7. Abide by the company's rules and regulations such as EHS, 5S and security.

8. Be responsible for completing other work assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Technical secondary school or above, majoring in Mold Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
  • Candidates must be willing to undergo training in China for a period of 3 to 6 months as part of the onboarding process.
  • Possess knowledge of mechanical processing and a foundational background in on‑site operational practice.
  • Strong ability to read drawings, adapt to changes and communicate effectively.
  • Chinese‑speaking candidates are preferred.
