Job summary

Bluesify seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to implement and manage security services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for client environments in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, deploy, and tune CSP-native security controls, including Security Command Center, to strengthen security posture and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years in public cloud security, hands-on experience with IAM/KMS, CSP monitoring tools, and familiarity with CNAPP/CASB and SIEM integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• GCP certification preferred (e.g. Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
• Relevant certifications for cloud administration/architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Implements and manages security services on GCP to strengthen clients' cloud security posture and regulatory compliance.
• Designs, deploys, and maintains CSP-native security services (e.g. Google Security Command Center).
• Develops cloud security monitoring use cases and detection logic, integrating CSP-native tools with SIEM/SOAR/CNAPP platforms.
• Supports incident investigations involving cloud logs/alerts and drives remediation aligned to CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF, and CSP best practices.
• Acts as a key technical liaison with client stakeholders and CSP principal support engineers.

Job description

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing, and managing of security services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is highly involved in deployment of security services within the client's cloud environment to assist them to improve their cloud security posture and ensure compliance to regulation. There will be extensive communications with client representatives of various levels including management, as well as with principal support engineers from CSPs; therefore good communication and relationship management skills are required.

Experience

• 1-3 years' experience as an engineer in public cloud environments, GCP highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with at least one CSP (AWS/Azure/GCP), including IAM and KMS for secure network environments
• Experience with CSP-native monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Google SCC) and third-party cloud workload security tools (CSPM, CNAPP, CASB)
• Experience with cloud logging/data transfer services and REST API/scripting integrations
• Preferred: Exposure to AI/LLM guardrail controls
