Job summary

WE Asia Pte Ltd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Full Stack Developer to design, deliver, and support cloud applications using containerised, serverless and AI technologies. You will work independently, exercise sound judgement, and contribute to end-to-end customer journeys with AI-enabled features.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying full stack apps on cloud platforms, leading complex issue resolution, ensuring high availability and security, and integrating AI with backend APIs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS or engineering.
• 4+ years building cloud-based apps with Node.js; 2+ years Next.js; 1+ year GenAI/LLM work.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Frontend skills with Next.js and Tailwind CSS for responsive UIs.
• Backend with Node.js, REST APIs, server-side logic, and DB integration.
• Experience integrating Generative AI APIs (Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI).
• Understanding prompt engineering, function calls, and conversational context.
• Experience with microservices and serverless (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive mindset with drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing, developing, and deploying full stack apps on cloud platforms.
• Drive end-to-end development across project workstreams and share knowledge.
• Lead resolution of complex technical issues with the team.
• Maintain high availability and security posture while complying with regulations.
• Oversee application support, incidents, root-cause analysis, and performance monitoring.
• Gatekeeper for codebase; conduct code reviews and approve PRs.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and estimate effort.
• Collaborate with architects on design feasibility and cost impact.
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments; follow release practices.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and apply security patches; resolve audit findings.
• Design and integrate AI/GenAI capabilities into applications and APIs.
• Ensure AI apps are secure, reliable, and production-ready with guardrails.
