Clinical Application Specialist – Ultrasound (Sabah & Sarawak)
Job Summary
The Clinical Application Specialist (Ultrasound) is responsible for providing expert‑level clinical support, training, and application knowledge to healthcare professionals and internal teams across Sabah and Sarawak. This role ensures effective product demonstration, post‑sales training, and clinical optimization of ultrasound systems to enhance customer satisfaction and drive product adoption in both public and private healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Demonstration & Clinical Training
- Conduct product demonstrations, hands‑on workshops, and application training sessions for doctors, sonographers, and biomedical engineers.
- Provide on‑site clinical support during system installations and initial use.
- Tailor ultrasound scanning protocols to fit customer‑specific clinical needs and applications (e.g., General Imaging, OB/GYN, Cardiology, Point‑of‑Care, etc.).
- Post‑Sales Support & Customer Engagement
- Ensure smooth post‑installation handover and optimize system performance based on user feedback.
- Maintain continuous engagement with key users to improve utilization and customer experience.
- Provide refresher or advanced‑level training when required.
- Pre‑Sales & Marketing Support
- Collaborate with the sales team during product presentations, roadshows, and tender evaluations.
- Assist in clinical evaluation, competitive benchmarking, and preparation of application‑related materials for tenders or marketing campaigns.
- Support marketing events, workshops, and congress participation in East Malaysia.
- Technical & Product Expertise
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of ultrasound technology, clinical trends, and competitive products.
- Provide feedback to product management and headquarters regarding market needs and product performance.
- Work closely with service engineers to troubleshoot application‑related issues.
- Territory Coverage
- Responsible for both Sabah and Sarawak, including major hospitals, private medical centers, and key government facilities.
- Frequent travel (up to 50%) within the territory is required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Imaging, Biomedical Science, Nursing, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in ultrasound imaging or medical device applications.
- Prior experience as an Application Specialist or Sonographer is preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Must possess a valid driving license and be willing to travel extensively across East Malaysia.
