Job description

We are seeking an experienced Inspector of Work / Clerk of Works to supervise and monitor all civil and structural works on site. The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements while maintaining high workmanship and construction quality.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily site inspections for all C&S works, including earthworks, piling, substructure, superstructure, roadworks, drainage, and utilities.

Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and relevant standards.

Verify materials delivered to site and monitor workmanship quality.

Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and highlight non-conformities.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve site issues.

Attend site and technical coordination meetings as required.

Monitor compliance with site safety and environmental requirements.

Assist in testing, inspections, and handover processes.

Assist the Consultant/Engineer/Quantity Surveyor in site valuation by verifying completed work on site, measuring actual quantities, and checking the contractor’s progress claims against site records.

Job Requirements

Diploma/Certificate in Civil and Structural Engineering.

Registration as IOW with BEM is an advantage.

Minimum 4–8 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure, substructure, and superstructure works (high-rise property development).

Strong understanding of C&S construction practices and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Good reporting, communication, and coordination skills.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on site.
