Claims Specialist – General Claims (Hong Kong Market Support)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that requires working as per the respective team’s arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Process General Insurance claims, verify documentation, evaluate eligibility, determine coverage, and calculate settlements.
• Facilitate a streamlined claims handling process to ensure prompt and equitable resolutions for diverse non‑motor insurance policies in Hong Kong.
• Register, process, and adjudicate claims within the required turnaround time.
• Assist in determining claim liabilities, values, and service provider fees, and set reserves with limited financial authority in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Ensure computed settlements and verified reimbursements from insurers are valid.
• Monitor and follow up on unsettled claims with insurers or for outstanding client information.
• Interact with stakeholders to ensure proper task execution.
• Prepare monthly claims statistics reports and update documentation processes.
• Proactively identify problems and provide solutions.
• Participate in project initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in claims handling/processing, specifically in general insurance policies.
• Basic general insurance knowledge.
• Proficiency in English; ability to converse in Cantonese to support the Hong Kong market.
• High integrity, detail‑oriented, compliant, and process‑driven.
