Job description

This full-time Civil/Structural Engineering Draftsperson position with GE Consulting Engineer Sdn Bhd is based in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for supporting the Civil/Structural Engineering team by producing detailed technical drawings and designs to support infrastructure and structural projects.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) drawings for civil and structural engineering projects
• Develop and update design drawings, plans, and specifications based on engineering requirements
• Collaborate with engineers to incorporate design changes and modifications
• Assist in the preparation of design calculations, reports, and other project documentation
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Provide support to the project teams throughout the design and construction phases

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience as a Civil/Structural Engineering Draftsperson or similar role, preferably in the building construction industry
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and other similar CAD software to produce high-quality technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering specifications and data
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve design issues
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and design standards
