Role Description

This is a full-time Civil Engineer role based in Pasir Gudang with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and maintenance of port-related infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, structures, and utilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, performing technical calculations, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring construction progress, resolving technical issues, and contributing to stormwater and drainage management solutions. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve infrastructure efficiency, safety, and sustainability within the port environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and experience working as Civil Engineers on infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation of drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Experience in Planning of infrastructure works, including project scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management and drainage design, including hydrological analysis and flood mitigation measures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional registration or progress toward registration is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant Malaysian and international engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work in a port and industrial environment and to conduct regular site visits as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
