Job summary

A dynamic civil and structural engineering consultancy in Kuala Lumpur seeks qualified civil/structural engineers to design and analyze civil works. Candidates with degrees and strong analytical skills in the field are preferred. This role demands coordination with multiple stakeholders and offers opportunities for less experienced candidates. Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential. Projects span residential to infrastructural developments across Asia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills in geotechnical and structural analysis and design.
• Knowledge of design and drafting software is advantageous.
• Candidates without working experience are welcome to apply.
• 3+ years of experience for executive engineers, 5+ years for senior engineers.

Job description

The scope of work include but not limited to

• Carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works;
• Prepare design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects.
• From time-to-time assign, on a temporary basis, duties outside the normal nature of your employment and overseas assignment.

Requirements

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized Institution with excellent results

• Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical skills in geotechnical and structural analysis and design work would be an advantage;
• A good knowledge of the application of design and drafting software such as Autocad, Staad Pro, Plaxis, Prota, and Tedds would be an advantage;
• Candidates without working experience are welcome to apply.
• For more senior positions, at least 3 years of design experience for executive engineers and at least 5 years of design experience for senior engineers.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English to liaise with overseas clients.
