Salary Package: Basic up to RM 18,000-25,000 (depends on experience)
Overview
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. You will work closely with the executive team to design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures while maintaining operational excellence and driving organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and goals, ensuring effective achievement of production targets for the Malaysian operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational processes, and recommend improvements to drive efficiency.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations, including production, logistics, supply chain, and customer service, while coordinating cross-functional departments (e.g., procurement, equipment, quality, R&D) to ensure orderly workflow.
- Ensure all business functions operate at optimal efficiency through streamlined processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental leaders to achieve performance goals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and success.
- Provide regular reports to the CEO and board of directors on operational progress.
Budget and Financial Management
- Work with the finance team to prepare budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial efficiency, with a focus on cost control, resource allocation, and implementing cost-reduction measures to lower production costs and enhance economic benefits.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies, while supervising safety production and environmental protection initiatives.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain secure and orderly operations.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
Innovation and Technology Integration
- Drive digital transformation and implement technology solutions to improve operational processes.
- Organize R&D for new products, including trial production and mass production.
Additional Duties
- Report directly to the CEO and complete other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior management roles (General Manager, COO, CEO, etc.), preferably in manufacturing or processing industry.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in operational tools, ERP systems, and performance management software.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced and dynamic business environment.
