Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Alice Smith School is one of the leading international schools in Southeast Asia and the only not-for-profit international school in Kuala Lumpur based on the British education system. Established in 1946 and set on two stunning campuses, we have a reputation for providing an outstanding education to over 1,500 students aged 3 to 18 representing 53 nationalities. Our school is on an exciting journey to transform education for the next generation.

We seek a strategic, values-driven leader to join us as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), a key member of the Whole School Leadership Team reporting to the Head of School. The CMO will lead our marketing, communications, admissions, and engagement agenda. The role will shape a distinctive and authentic brand, drive sustainable student enrolment, and deliver a personalised family experience. It combines strategic brand leadership with commercial rigour to ensure our value proposition is clearly communicated, consistently experienced, and translated into long-term enrolment outcomes.

Our successful candidate will be a strategic marketeer with senior‑level experience in brand‑led education and premium services. A holistic understanding of the customer journey, a commercial mindset, and outstanding communication skills are essential, as is proven experience of driving growth. Whilst experience in education is an advantage, we welcome candidates from a variety of sectors and professional backgrounds, particularly related to the delivery of premium value consumer services. A genuine resonance with the mission and values of our school, and the ability to lead effectively in a diverse learning community, are critical to success.
