PositionReporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Insurance Officer will assume technical and commercial accountability for all regional insurance activities. The mandate includes strategic oversight of underwriting, policies and contracts, pricing, reinsurance, governance and regulatory compliance whilst driving profitability, operational efficiency and innovation.
Key priorities include strategic development, enhancing underwriting, portfolio monitoring and performance enhancement while developing and adhering to robust governance and risk frameworks. The appointed individual will also spearhead product and pricing innovation, foster adoption of Insurtech solutions, and align technical and operational excellence across all insurance functions.
The appointee will represent the organisation with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and strategic partners to reinforce the Group’s market presence and reputation for excellence.
PersonThe ideal candidate will be an insurance executive with over 12+ years of senior experience across Property & Casualty and/or Assistance lines. Exposure to reinsurance, pricing, underwriting, and profitability monitoring is essential, ideally complemented by actuarial or finance expertise. Candidates will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, governance capability and a hands‑on leadership approach suited to complex, multi‑country operations.
With a proven record of delivering technical and commercial outcomes, time tested thought leadership, the appointed leader will champion organisational excellence and transformation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. As an individual of influence and credibility you will support and drive people development across markets and represent the organisation in external forums while engaging with Board and Group level representatives. Fluency in English is essential; a second Asian or European language will be highly advantage.
