Position : Chief Engineer (on board LNG Tankers/FPSO/FSO)

Location : Offshore / Johor
Scope of Works:
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of main propulsion, power generation, cargo handling, and auxiliary systems.
- Ensure compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and classification society requirements (ABS, DNV, LR, BV).
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance as per the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure proper documentation in the maintenance records.
- Monitor fuel and lubricant consumption, machinery performance, and condition-based monitoring systems.
- Supervise engine room crew, delegate duties effectively, and ensure safe work practices are implemented at all times.
- Prepare and submit daily engineering reports, defect logs, and technical updates to onshore management.
- Manage spare parts inventory, requisitions, and ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
- Liaise with onshore technical and HSE teams to coordinate dry-docking, surveys, and major overhauls.
- Conduct safety drills, risk assessments, and participate actively in emergency response procedures.
- Ensure the vessel remains in compliance with statutory certification, audits, and inspections.
Minimum Requirement(s):
- Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer (Unlimited), recognized by the Malaysian Marine Department or equivalent.
- Minimum 8-15 years of seagoing experience, including several years as Chief Engineer on LNG carriers, FPSO, or FSO units.
