Chemical Etching Wet Process Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on Chemical Etching Wet Process Technician to support daily production operations involving photochemical etching and wet chemical processes. This role is suitable for candidates with experience in wet process manufacturing, chemical handling, and basic utility systems supporting production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chemical etching wet process lines, including:
- Cleaning / degreasing
- Photoresist coating
- Exposure & developing
- Chemical etching
- Stripping, rinsing, and drying
- Handle and replenish process chemicals (e.g. ferric chloride, cupric chloride, acid/alkaline solutions) in accordance with SOP and safety requirements.
- Perform basic process control checks (temperature, concentration, line speed, etch depth).
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of etched metal products.
- Support equipment setup, changeover, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain process logs, checklists, and production records.
- Follow EHS and chemical safety procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
Utility & Environmental Support
- Perform basic checks and monitoring for:
- Wet scrubber systems (acid fumes / exhaust treatment)
- DI water systems (water quality, pressure, alarms)
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) related to chemical etching effluent
- Support environmental compliance activities, including:
- Chemical waste segregation
- Effluent discharge control
- Coordination during audits or inspections
Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Chemical etching
- Wet process manufacturing
- PCB / metal etching / surface treatment environments
- Fresh graduates with relevant wet process training are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of:
- Wet chemical processes
- Chemical handling and safety
- Manufacturing SOPs and quality control
- Willing to work in a factory / wet process environment.
- Able to support shift‑based operations if required.
- Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and safety‑conscious.
Preferred / Advantage Skills
- Experience with coil‑to‑coil or continuous wet process lines
- Exposure to scrubber, DI water, or WWTP systems
- Familiar with microscope inspection, thickness measurement, or dimensional QC
- Experience in ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / IATF manufacturing environments
