Description:

As the CFS AML Risk Management (CARM) Team Manager, you will lead, motivate, and manage a high-performance team of AML analysts. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Set clear performance targets and deliverables related to customer due diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Provide expert guidance and constructive advice to team members, business units, and branch stakeholders on CDD and EDD activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness in conducting due diligence reviews.
  • Assist the CARM Team Lead in reviewing and approving CDD and EDD cases conducted by AML analysts, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Stay abreast of AML/CFT and sanction regulations, internal policies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the team's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance, legal, and business units, to ensure consistent application of AML/CFT and sanction policies and procedures.
  • Support other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the AML/CFT function.
Requirement:
  • Education: University degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of comprehensive experience in AML/CFT, including transaction monitoring, customer screening and enhanced customer due diligence.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to AML/CFT and sanctions.
  • Additional knowledge: Familiarity with consumer banking products and services, as well as regulations governing the consumer banking sector, is an added advantage.

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
