As a Category Lead – Indirect , you will drive end-to-end sourcing and category strategies across Australia and the APAC region, partnering with stakeholders to deliver commercial value while supporting safety, quality, sustainability, and compliance objectives. This role offers the opportunity to influence business outcomes, build strong cross-cultural relationships, and take ownership of strategic procurement initiatives that drive measurable results and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do
  • Lead strategic sourcing and category management for indirect spend, including tenders, negotiations, contract awards, cost optimisation, and market analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders across APAC to understand business needs, influence decisions, and deliver commercially effective procurement strategies.
  • Own end-to-end procurement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, implementation, and realisation of business benefits.
  • Manage supplier and contract performance, including contract negotiation, compliance, governance, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive procurement excellence through strong governance, risk and ESG management, data-driven reporting (SAP, Coupa, Power BI), process improvements, and operational procurement support.

What you’ll bring
  • Relevant qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field, with 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse cultures and APAC regions.
  • Commercially and analytically minded, with a solid understanding of total cost of ownership, procurement processes, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficient in procurement and reporting systems, including SAP S/4, Coupa, Microsoft Office, and Power BI.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative professional with experience in governance, risk management, sustainability initiatives, and a customer-focused approach to delivering outcomes.
