Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a VP/ED to lead the CARM team within CFS R&P, providing strategic oversight of AML/CFT and financial crime risk across the portfolio. You will serve as the primary approver for high-risk reviews and advise business units to balance growth with risk controls.

You will also drive process improvements, automate controls, and coach the CARM team to sustain a strong risk culture, regulatory alignment, and effective governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in AML/CFT and financial crime risk management.
• Strong regulatory knowledge and risk judgement.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Ability to decide on complex high-risk customer relationships and AML risk matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AML/CFT risk management across the CFS portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with policies.
• Act as key approver/escalation for high-risk reviews including EDD, TER, PR, and TR.
• Provide AML/CFT and sanctions advisory support to business units and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous control enhancements.
• Lead, coach and develop the CARM team, fostering risk culture and effective resource planning.
