Texas Instruments Malaysia seeks an energetic Product Engineer to own the product engineering launch cycle for the next-generation NPD portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
• Foundational hardware validation concepts and semiconductor knowledge is a plus.
• 0–2 years of working experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-silicon and post-silicon development phases for NPD launches.
• Build up sample inventories for internal characterization and qualification testing.
• Drive silicon validation and generate device characterization reports.
• Monitor milestones with PMs to ensure on-time product releases.
• Perform yield analysis and DOE to maximize mature yields.

The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization.

We are seeking an energetic and process-driven Product Engineer to own the product engineering launch cycle for our next-generation New Product Development (NPD) portfolio. In this role, you will transition silicon from initial tape-out to high-volume manufacturing. You will be well-versed in navigating complex validation workflows and will take full ownership of the critical execution gates required to deliver robust ESD, TVS, and surge protection devices on schedule.

Product Engineers Have The Following Responsibilities

• NPD Pre-Launch Execution: Act as the primary PE anchor during the pre-silicon and post-silicon development phases, managing checkout plans, test vehicle preparation, and risk assessment checklists.
• SWR & Sample Buildup Optimization: Author and execute complex, high-volume Special Work Requests (SWRs) to build up crucial sample inventories for internal characterization, customer evaluation, and qualification reliability testing.
• Silicon Validation & Characterization: Drive silicon validation activities by compiling, filtering, and evaluating massive data sets to establish device characterization reports across varying voltage and temperature corners.
• NPD Launch Timeline Tracking: Partner tightly with Project Managers (PMs) to monitor critical manufacturing milestones (Wafer Fab, Assembly, Final Test), proactively flagging bottlenecks to maintain 100% on-time product releases.
• Yield & Capability Assessment: Perform initial yield analysis, design-of-experiments (DOE), and Gage R&R studies on early lots to establish robust production test limits and maximize mature manufacturing yields.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Bachelors in Microelectronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Cumulative 3.3 GPA or higher
• Foundational comprehension of hardware validation concepts, parametric testing, and semiconductor structures (such as diodes, FETs, or basic ESD protection layouts) will be added advantage
• 0 -2 years of working experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive hands on experience working with different lab equipment for taking data and / or performing device debug or failure analysis. For example use of the curve tracers; return loss analyzers, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience of bench testing of op-amps, ADCs, mixed -signal circuits and digital circuits
• Experience with bench validation and characterization PCBs
• Experience with integrated circuit and device failure analysis
• Programming skills for automation of bench characterization equipment (Labview/Teststand), along with C and or C++
• Extensive knowledge of statistics and tools to analyze large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data
• Have working knowledge of what is required to take a product from development stage to production
• Ability to work in a team setup comprising of other functional groups
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
• Strong problem solving, verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to multiplex between projects and be able to maintain project schedules
