Join ExxonMobil as a Chemical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, supporting global manufacturing facilities with process engineering and digital innovation.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Provide technical insights and support to ExxonMobil’s manufacturing facilities globally, including refineries and chemical plants.
  • Act as a key member of the site technical team delivering process unit monitoring and analysis.
  • Lead or support initiatives on energy efficiency, yield improvement, cost reduction, and sustainability.
  • Perform business stewardship activities including energy utilization analysis, material balance assessments, benchmarking, and identifying unit improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and business teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Gain exposure to ExxonMobil’s global assets and technology network by supporting projects and solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Design, develop, and implement regulatory and advanced control applications; improve abnormal event detection and alarm management.
  • Provide technical support on advanced control applications and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop, deploy, and sustain tools for PIMS model validation and perform validation analysis with manufacturing site teams.
  • Support environmental engineering tasks including air emissions control, GHG and pollutant emissions reporting, water treatment, and wastewater management.
