Job summary

ITW Meritex Sdn Bhd (Automotive Division) in Penang invites a draughtsperson to create and revise 3D and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, supporting engineers with precise drafts and practical solutions.

Fresh graduates are welcome; diploma in drafting or engineering preferred. Team oriented, able to work independently, and receptive to feedback. Familiarity with jig and fixture design is a plus; manual drawing skills are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in drafting, engineering, or a relevant field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Experience with jig and fixture designing is a plus.
• Ability to draw manually favourable, but not essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Use computer-aided design software to create and to revise 3D and 2D technical drawings, both rough sketches and detailed work.
• Make changes to technical drafts based on the recommendations of other engineers and superior.
• Review and manage external drawing.
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
• Other assignment assigned by superior.
