Job summary
A leading procurement company in Penang is looking for a Purchasing Officer to manage purchase requisitions and supplier relationships. Responsibilities include improving cost efficiencies in supply chain management and ensuring timely material delivery. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, with 2–5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is required.

Responsibilities
- Handle daily purchase requisition and purchase order processing.
- Manage suppliers efficiently in terms of pricing, delivery, and service performance.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuously improve supply chain management.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
- Conduct sourcing activities for new inquiries and potential suppliers.
- Work closely with the Planning Division to ensure sufficient materials for mass production.
- Reschedule orders (in/out) according to changing demand requirements.
- Monitor, collect, and report ESG and Sustainability data in the Corporate Gensuite reporting system.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP/MRP systems, experience with Microsoft AX is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and computer literate.
- Fluency in English, Malay and Mandarin is required.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
