We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail‑oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Your Role in Our Team
1. Purchasing & Procurement Activities
  • Plan, source, and purchase raw materials, components, and consumables according to production schedules and inventory requirements.
  • Issue Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all purchased items comply with specifications, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve any delivery or quality issues with suppliers.
2. Supplier Management
  • Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Conduct price comparison, cost analysis, and negotiation for best purchasing terms.
  • Maintain and update Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) and supplier performance records.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers for long‑term partnership.
3. Inventory & Cost Control
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels to support production without overstocking.
  • Work closely with the Material Planner and Warehouse to align supply with demand.
  • Assist in cost reduction initiatives and process improvement for purchasing efficiency.
4. Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documents, and pricing databases.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement functions.
5. Coordination & Communication
  • Liaise with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on urgent orders, schedule changes, or quality concerns.
  • Prepare and submit weekly purchasing reports to management.
Who We’re Looking For
Education:

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or metal stamping industry.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with local and overseas suppliers is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Language:
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin), both written and spoken.
