Role Summary

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, driving the design and implementation of technology solutions that enable automation, digitalisation, and operational excellence. In a new manufacturing setup, this role is pivotal in transforming manual workflows, harmonising processes, and building a scalable, data‑driven manufacturing ecosystem.

Scope and Key Areas of Focus
  • Business & Systems Analysis
    • Gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements; translate business needs into system specifications and workflows.
    • Conduct workflow mapping, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to identify inefficiencies and recommend system enhancements or new solutions.
    • Collaborate with business unit and cross‑functional teams to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
    • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training efforts.
    • Maintain documentation including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot post‑implementation issues.
  • Process Optimization & Digital Transformation
    • Lead initiatives to automate manual workflows and digitise core manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, MES, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
    • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML, RPA) to enhance traceability, performance, and decision‑making.
    • Design scalable digital frameworks that support real‑time visibility, operational agility, and data integrity.
    • Define and monitor KPIs to measure process effectiveness, productivity, and quality. Conduct cost‑benefit analyses to support investment decisions and process changes.
    • Deliver training and promote a culture of structured problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
  • Manufacturing Ecosystem Development
    • Build and harmonise end‑to‑end (E2E) manufacturing processes to support scalability, standardisation, and productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
    • Govern change orders (COs), deviations, and process updates to ensure smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
  • Data Analytics & Decision Support
    • Develop structured models and dashboards that convert data into actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
    • Apply a data‑driven mindset to strengthen governance, control mechanisms, and strategic decision‑making.
    • Leverage analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and manufacturing systems (e.g. EBS, CAMSTAR, APEX) to monitor performance and uncover trends.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems to support predictive and real‑time decision‑making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in business systems analysis, process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on process integrity, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to apply a process‑centric and data‑driven mindset in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing and data systems such as Oracle EBS, APEX, CAMSTAR, SQL, and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with programming or scripting (e.g. Python, VBA) is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging digital tools to drive automation, standardisation, and performance improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with a continuous improvement mindset.
