Job summary

A leading tax advisory firm in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Assistant responsible for data entry into the SQL accounting system and preparing management accounts. This role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience and proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, be meticulous, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• To perform data entry into SQL accounting system
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and analyze the variances
• Ensure accuracy and correct information recorded
• Responsible and maintain efficient filing system for account
• Liaise with clients, auditors and / or any relevant parties when required
• Assist in administrative support and any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior from time to time
• Able to work under pressure to meet closing deadlines and submission of accounts
• Assist client with monthly payroll, including payroll summary, payslips and statutory contributions
• Assist clients to preparing and submitting Sales & Service Tax (“SST”)

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least LCCI Higher / Diploma / CAT or equivalent
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Meticulous and good organization skill
• Team player and able to work in a diverse environment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Required skill(s): Preferably with SQL, Microsoft Office
• Proficient in written and verbal English
• Good communication skills
• Can manage good relationship with client
