Job Description

This position is part of BP's organization supporting the Castrol Lubricants business for the Global Marine and Energy (GME) sectors. The Business Operations team is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by coordinating day-to-day customer service, sales execution, and delivery operations. Operations Advisors serve as key relationship managers, bridging Sales, Marketing, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and the Finance Business Technology Center (FBT). They ensure uninterrupted customer service by resolving complex order and delivery issues raised from other functions, while working efficiently across countries, regions, and business units.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Evaluate customer service performance using operational indicators, identify improvement areas, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary Business Operations representative for the assigned country/region, serving as the focal point for dispute resolution and issue.
  • Ensure local implementation of GME strategic directions, adapting processes to meet business needs and aligning team capabilities with strategy requirements.
  • Build strong customer relationships through joint visits with account managers and ensure service delivery meets contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Global Supply Chain (GSC) on demand planning, stock optimization, and logistics cost reduction, while supporting accurate sales forecasting.
  • Lead complex order and delivery issues, ensuring uninterrupted customer service and compliance with processes and indicators.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, including process optimization, cost control, and implementation of new offers or product launches.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, identify recurring issues, and work with GSC on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate airfreight requests, crisis response activities, and competitor assist programs to meet customer needs.
  • Partner with Marketing to maintain and update the GME offer (DMS) for the region.
  • Drive continuous improvement through analysis, reporting, and collaboration across Sales, Marketing, GSC, and Finance Business Technology (FBT).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in International Business, Supply Chain Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
  • 6-8 years in global or regional supply operations, demand planning, and customer service.
  • Shown experience in project management and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, logistics, and customer operations in oil & gas markets; experience in Marine or Energy sectors preferred.
  • Supervisory experience desirable.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); additional languages such as Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin are an advantage.
  • Strong partner management and influencing skills across internal and external networks.
  • High analytical ability with strong data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
