A leading logistics company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Business Development Manager to oversee the sales and customer service department. The ideal candidate will have a degree related to business and 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, focusing on improving company performance through client relationships and market insights. Lead Sales and Service: Take full ownership of the Diamond & Jewellery Sales & Customer Service Department, driving excellence and customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research to uncover new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts in the freight forwarding industry.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are swiftly resolved.
Strategic Planning: Create and manage a comprehensive business plan to achieve sales targets and optimize operations.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing valuable insights to senior management.
Global Representation: Participate in prestigious international jewellery exhibitions, representing the company on a global stage.
Versatile Support: Contribute to shipment coordination and handle ad-hoc duties as needed, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Educational Background: Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent field, showcasing a strong foundation in relevant areas.
Professional Experience: 3-5 years in business development or sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, candidates with logistic experiences are highly welcomed
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with freight forwarding, logistics, international shipping, and customs regulations is advantageous but not mandatory.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English proficiency, essential for effective client interactions and global communication.
Interpersonal Abilities: Strong people management and relationship-building skills to foster successful partnerships.
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
Adaptability: Willingness to travel for overseas business trips and events as required.
