A leading FMCG manufacturer in Johor is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to oversee the domestic market and OEM business. The ideal candidate will manage a team of sales executives and need a proven track record in business development. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of OEM customers and local distributors and leading business reviews. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry (Open to GT and MT experiences).
  • Proven track record in business development and winning new business.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities in a similar role.

About the Company

Randstad is partnering with a prominent manufacturer within the FMCG industry. Established over 20 years ago, the company has invested millions to develop a modernized factory in Malaysia.

Our client specializes in the production, distribution, export and marketing of a diverse range of products under the consumer good industry.

Key Responsibilities

This Business Development Manager position will oversee the entire domestic market and OEM business, and act as the head of department for the team. This commercial role reports to the General Manager of the organisation and will be managing a team of 3-4 sales executives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Managing & growing the portfolio of OEM customers, export customers and local distributors/wholesalers in meeting revenue and profit KPIs
  • To lead and work with internal stakeholders to align and solicit commitment in delivering the business goals
  • Responsible to prepare and lead in business reviews or ad hoc reviews with customers
  • Responsible for the timely execution of all commercial roll out plans including marketing activations and NPD launches
  • To prepare business proposals and evaluation for Senior Management in any consideration of new partnerships
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the FMCG industry (Open to GT and MT experiences)
  • Proven track record in business development and winning new business
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities in a similar role, with a track record of success in planning and decision-making
