Business Development Manager (Export Division)

Berjaya CKE GROUP is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Export Division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new international market opportunities, building long‑lasting relationships with overseas clients, and driving the expansion of our global footprint. Sales Coverage: India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan Market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Growth & Market Expansion
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow business across South Asia markets.
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities, partners, and distribution channels.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and customer demand to drive proactive strategies.
    • Manage relationships with existing distributors, dealers, and project partners to ensure sustainable growth.
    • Conduct regular business reviews, set sales targets, and monitor performance achievements.
    • Develop and strengthen partnerships through product training, marketing support, and joint business planning.
    • Actively engage in major commercial kitchen, hospitality, and foodservice projects.
    • Support tender and specification processes by collaborating with consultants, contractors, and end users.
    • Track project pipelines to secure revenue opportunities for Berjaya products.
  • Product & Marketing Support
    • Promote full product range, positioning value proposition and competitive advantages.
    • Provide feedback on product improvements, pricing competitiveness, and new product needs specific to the region.
    • Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and brand‑building events in the assigned territory.
  • Business Reporting & Analysis
    • Collect and analyze sales data, market feedback, and performance KPIs.
    • Provide regular reports on market updates, customer activities, and sales forecasts.
    • Propose solutions and action plans for business improvement in the region.
    • Conduct business visits across assigned territories to maintain strong market visibility.
    • Participate in customer meetings, showroom visits, training sessions, and exhibitions.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in a Business Development, International Business or Sales role, preferably in an export‑focused environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in international markets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and market entry strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with additional language skills highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to meet with clients and explore new market opportunities.

Basic Salary + Commission Scheme offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience.
