Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Selangor is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to expand their global market presence. Candidates should have a degree in Chemical Engineering and 5-8 years of experience in sales/business development within the chemical industry. This role involves building strong customer relationships, developing sales strategies, and conducting market research. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, and additional languages are a plus. International travel is necessary.

About the role

Our client manufactures raw materials that are used in a wide range of industries including engineering grade products to consumer goods manufacturing. Due to expansion to the global market, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to bring the products to the global market.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the markets outside of Malaysia.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
• Performing market research and analysis to keep up to date with changes in market trends.
• Work closely with R&D, production, and marketing teams to align product offerings with market
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and long-term agreements with clients.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5 - 8 years of sales/business development experience within the chemical industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Additional language skills would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally. (minimum of once per quarter)
