Overview
Position: Business Development Manager
This role involves handling business development activities in the allocated markets. The manager is responsible for developing new customers, maintaining a high level of sales achievement, and implementing sales strategies and plans.
Location: Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang. The role requires possession of own transport and willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Identify new customers and business opportunities.
- Manage and maintain good relationships with existing customers and expand business opportunities.
- Handle sales inquiries and customer requests.
- Coordinate with other departments, including customer service and operations.
- Prepare sales reports and other relevant reports for management.
- Lead in-charge markets’ short‑term and long‑term strategies.
- Assess risks and ensure they are monitored and minimized.
- Set strategic goals and ensure they are measurable.
- Regularly discuss and report to the Director on market updates/trends.
- Assist in other tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
- Educational requirement: Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
- Required languages: English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics/Supply Chain industry with a solid track record.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding/logistics is a pre‑requisite.
- A team player, able to work independently with good analytical skills.
- Possess own transport and willingness to travel.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
