About The Role

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at RHB Insurance Berhad. In this role, you will support the Branch Manager in expanding business profitability, managing key portfolios, and strengthening agency operations. You will play a critical role in increasing market share, enhancing agency performance, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth and productivity.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Support the Branch Manager in formulating and executing marketing strategies to maximise business potential through the Agency channel
  • Manage Agency, RHB Group, and Direct business portfolios to improve productivity and profitability
  • Collaborate with underwriters to assess and accept new risks according to Head Office guidelines
  • Conduct surveys and risk management programs for Banca Retail clients
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop structured marketing strategies
  • Expand agency force and enhance the Agency Recruitment Programme
  • Organise relationship enhancement activities to strengthen engagement with agencies
  • Segment agency portfolios to optimise performance and efficiency
  • Review product portfolios to ensure competitiveness and relevance
  • Monitor credit control policies and ensure adherence to regulatory and company guidelines
What We\'re Looking For
  • Relevant professional qualification in insurance and/or a degree in any discipline
  • Experience in the insurance industry with strong analytical skills and knowledge of the sector
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding profitability and sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve assigned KPIs
