We are seeking a dynamic and drivenBusiness Development Executive for Thailand and Laos to join our team. This role demands a unique blend of business development expertise, technical knowledge, and a proactive, hands-on approach. You will be the face of Romar Minelab in the field — building relationships with dealers / customers, supporting end users, running demos, and opening up new markets.
This position is based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (our HQ office), with frequent travel across the ASEAN region (particularly Thailand).
Develop and grow our dealer network in Thailand and Laos.
Reach out to new customers in gold prospecting / metal detecting communities.
Drive sales and hit regional targets with passion and persistence.
Demonstrate and explain metal detectors to dealers and end users in the field.
Train customers and partners on how to use and maintain equipment.
Provide hands‑on technical assistance, troubleshooting, and setup support.
Build long‑term relationships with key dealers - constant follow up.
Act as a trusted advisor and the go‑to field expert for our tech.
Maintain accurate sales reports and activity logs.
Share market and field insights with internal teams.
Work closely with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to support customers effectively.
Translate written materials from English to Thai and vice versa, ensuring tone and meaning are preserved.
Provide real‑time interpretation during meetings and Zoom calls to facilitate seamless communication between English and Thai speakers.
Minimum 5 years of sales and business development working experience, preferably with a technical product.
A formal degree or diploma in engineering, science, or any discipline is considered an advantage.
Fluent in Thai (written and spoken) – essential. Ability to speak Vietnamese would be a clear advantage though not necessary.
An interest in travel, adventure, and the outdoors.
Hands‑on, practical mindset – not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
Based in Klang Valley / Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, but willing to travel frequently around ASEAN and particularly Thailand.
Experience with Thailand market is a bonus.
