Responsibilities

  • Assist Managers in achieving objectives by defining goals.
  • Execute daily sales activities and attend to customer requests.
  • Understand customer needs and update logistics services.
  • Follow up on sales opportunities and develop new accounts.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients for retention.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Handle customer complaints and coordinate resolution.
  • Provide contingency planning to minimize delivery disruptions.
  • Prepare operational reports for Management.

Overview

Business Development Executive is to assist the department for all functions daily business and operation focusing on sales activity in attainment the profits and goals. Business Development Executive promoted service to customers and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximizing the Company profits.

Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Managers to achieve organizations objectives by defining short terms and long terms goals.
  • Execute daily sales activities, attend to customers request, quotation, inquiries and sales visitation.
  • Understand the customers’ needs, always update Company’s logistics services, coordinate and arrange the logistical needs of our customer.
  • Follow up sales opportunity and develop new account in Penang, Kedah and Perak through inbound lead follow up and outbound calls and emails. Follow up the monthly aging reports.
  • Managing and maintaining close relationship with existing clients to ensure continuous business and customer retention.
  • Assist the Managers to identify new business opportunity through market research, lead generation and networking.
  • Handling and resolve the customer’s problems, complaints, within own level authority, investigate till up to resolution or escalate to concerned parties to expedite the actions.
  • Assist the Managers improving the operational potential, operation effectiveness and efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction and customer retention.
  • Provide contingency planning to operation team to minimize delivery disruptions to customers.
  • Prepare the counter measure reports to solve any problems occurred and reported to the Managers.
  • Compliance to all related government regulatory and statutory requirements in all business activity.
  • Report Customer feedback from potential and existing customer to the Managers.
  • Prepare required report by Management related to the operation activity.
  • Assist to review or revise the related procedures, work instructions & guidelines.
  • Always adhere to the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy all the time.
  • Good networking and relationships with customers, vendors, transporter and stakeholder.
  • Ensure all the activity are compliance with business ethics and Company code of conduct.
  • Obey and execute any other task instructed by the Manager, HOD or higher level at any time.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in any related field with experience in related field for 5 years
  • Minimum SPM with experience in Logistics Industry, Shipping or any related field for 7 years.
  • Good business acumen and knowledge in the logistics industry including transportation and warehousing
  • Ability to develop close relationships with customers, government officers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
